iPadOS 18 System Requirements Increase

iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, the upcoming software updates for Apple's iPhone and iPad devices, will be released this fall. A credible leaker has detailed which devices will be supported by the new operating systems, with the exception of the 2018 6th-generation iPad.

iPadOS 18 Supported Devices

The system requirements for iPadOS 18 have increased slightly from iPadOS 17. The latest operating system now requires at least an Apple A12 chip, which means that the following devices will no longer be supported:

• iPad Pro (10.5-inch) (2nd generation)
• iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation)
• iPad (5th generation)
• iPad mini (4th generation)
